David R. Fordham, CPA, CMA, is the PBGH Faculty Fellow and Professor of Accounting Systems at James Madison University. A former corporate controller, he also has several years of experience as manager of Information Systems and Information Security before earning his Ph.D. at Florida State University. His publications have won seven national or international awards, and have appeared in Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Accounting Education, Issues in Accounting Education, Advances in Accounting, Critical Perspectives, Journal of Accountancy, Management Accounting, and numerous others. He served two terms on the Education Research Committee of the Federation of Schools of Accountancy, and has served as the Training Chair, Secretary, and member of the Board of Directors of the AIS Educator Association.
